How to Fix An Disk Image File That Is Inaccessible

Repair the disk image on your computer to mount it.

The disk images on your Windows 7 computer are used to install software packages to your computer. When the disk image is not accessible or mountable, you will not be able to use the image or the contents or its software package. You can easily fix the disk images on your computer system by using the Windows 7 operating system. Windows 7 comes with a file checker that will replace broken and corrupted versions of your files with the correct versions.

Instructions

1. Click the "Start" button and then go to "All Programs" on the right hand side of the menu.

2. Click on the "Accessories" button and then right-click on "Command Prompt."

3. Choose the "Run as administrator" tab from the menu that appears.

4. Enter your administrator password if you are prompted.

5. Type "sfc /scannow" into the command prompt and press the "Enter" key.

6. Wait for the computer to scan your files and then replace them with the correct versions.

7. Restart your computer.
