1
Open Adobe Photoshop and upload the self portrait picture. The picture should be of your full face from a frontal angle without hair obstructing the face. Bangs or sideparts should be pinned back out of the way.

2
Open the image of the hairstyle you wish to copy. Click the "pen tool" button on the left side graphical menu to activate the tool. Click somewhere on the hairline to activate a pen path.

3
Magnify the image so that you can clearly see the hairs. Follow the hairline by clicking every few seconds as you trace. If you need to make a curved selection, click and hold to activate the pen tools curve ability. As you drag right or left the path will bend. Once the hair is entirely traced, close the path by clicking on the original point. Close the path by alt-clicking and choosing "make selection."

4
Press "control C" to copy the selection. Go back to the original selection and press "control V" to paste the image on the face.

5
Adjust the hair on its separate layer. Press "control t" to activate the "transform" command. Pull at the corners to shrink and stretch the image until it fits on your face. Click the green check mark to accept the changes.
