How to Switch Phones on My Sprint Account

Sprint is a wireless provider that offers a variety of cell phones and economical cell phone plans. If you are a Sprint customer, you can take advantage of Sprint's online, self-service option of switching out an existing phone on your account.

Instructions

1. Visit the Sprint website and log into your account. If you do not have an account, click the link "Sign Up Today" and register for one.

2. Click the "My Devices" tab on your account page and locate the phone that you want to switch.

3. Hover over the link "I want to" and select "Activate a new phone."

4. Remove the battery from the back of your phone and locate the ESN, HEX or DEC number on the sticker affixed to the inside of the battery compartment.

5. Enter the number into the appropriate fields on the online form, then enter your email address.

6. Click the link "Continue" and verify your service options. Click the link "Complete Activation."
