How to Install a Playlist on an iPod

Use iTunes to transport your playlists to your iPod.

Playlists are a useful tool within iTunes. You can use them to add songs from your general music library into a more specific list. For example, if you want to put all of your upbeat songs together for a workout, you can do it with a playlist. If you want to take your playlist on the go, transfer the files from your computer to your iPod.

Instructions

1. Install Apple's iTunes, if you haven't done so already. The installation is available at Apple.com/itunes.

2. Upload your music or add your music files to iTunes by opening them in the iTunes player.

3. Select "File" and "New Playlist" after you've put some music in your general music library. You will be asked to give it a name.

4. Look through your music library. Select songs you want to put on the playlist and drag them to the playlist you've created.

5. Plug your iPod into your computer using the cord given to you when you purchased it. It will ask you if you want to sync your music and videos. Click "OK". After going through the syncing process, your iPod will have your new playlist on it.
