How to Fold a Texas State Flag thumbnail
The state of Texas has adopted a proper way of folding the state flag.

The state flag of Texas was adopted as the official flag when Texas became the 28th state in the nation in 1845. The Lone Star Flag has the familiar red, white and blue colors of the United States. The red stands for bravery, the white for purity and the blue for loyalty.

The flag was representative of the Republic of Texas in 1839 prior to the state's adoption into the United States.

Instructions

    • 1

With the red stripe facing upward, fold the flag in half lengthwise.

    • 2

With the red stripe inside, fold the flag in half lengthwise again.

    • 3

With the blue stripe facing up and the white star facing down, fold the corner with the white star up and to the opposite side of the flag so a triangle is formed.

    • 4

Using the newly formed triangle, fold again and again into several triangles, until there is no more flag to use. The end result should be blue with part of the white star visible.

    • 5

Tuck the edges of the flag in to secure the folding.
