How to Troubleshoot a Way to Change a Bobbin for My Singer 6235
Singer sewing machines are well known. The company makes durable sewing machines as well as many other home appliances. The 6235 is works well for delicate fabrics as the pressure is adjustable with a foot pedal. The width and length of stitches are adjustable and it is easy to change color and thread type. The machine works with a drop in bobbin which makes it easy to determine how much thread is left in the bobbin.

Troubleshoting the Bobbin Change
-
1
Ensure that there is no lint or stray thread in the bobbin area. A dirty area by the bobbin will cause the thread to break frequently.
-
2
Pull on the bobbin thread when you change the bobbin. The thread should pull smoothly and easily. If the bobbin does not pull easily then check for dirt in the bobbin area. Ensure that there are no small knots in the thread. This is a particular problem if you make your own bobbins.

3
Oil the bobbin spindle lightly if it is having difficulty spinning. Sometimes the bobbin is too tight and oil can loosen the bobbin. If you use too much oil then, the thread can become oily. Use to little at first and then add a bit more if necessary.
-
4
Ensure that the arrows on the bobbin match up with the arrows on the machine when winding the bobbin. If the bobbin is not aligned then it will not wind properly which causes problems with sewing. You will need to unwind the bobbin and rewind it properly.
-
5
Change the bobbin case if nothing is helping to fix the problem. It is a possibility that the bobbin case has broken and will not work properly.
