How to Find Your Look-Alikes
Have you ever been told that you look like someone else, either a celebrity or a friend of a friend? Thanks to face recognition technology and a number of websites, you can upload a digital photo of yourself from a social networking site, your phone or your personal album and compare it to profile photos from the entire Facebook or MySpace community, as well as a database of celebrity faces.

Choose a digital photo of yourself that gives a clear view of your entire face. Make sure you aren't wearing sunglasses or anything that obstructs your face. Choose a recent photo.

Upload the photo on your computer if you haven't already done so. You can do this by connecting your digital camera to the computer and saving the desired pictures to the folder of your choice, or sending the photo from your phone to your email as a picture attachment, which you can then open and save to your computer. If you wish to compare your face to other profile pictures on MySpace or Facebook, set the photo as your profile picture by mousing over your current profile picture, selecting "Change picture," and then "Upload picture," and clicking "Browse" to select the desired photo from your computer.

Access a free face-recognition site such as MyHeritage, CelebrityMatchUp or FaceDouble.

Find your celebrity double by uploading your photo onto the MyHeritage or CelebrityMatchUp site. You can do this by clicking "Browse" to the right of the "Upload a Photo" text box, selecting your desired photo from your computer, and clicking the "Upload" button on the website. The site will compare your face with the mugs of celebrities, and will return your best matches within moments.

Find your Facebook or MySpace double, which could include celebrities or anyone else using these social networking sites, by clicking the appropriate link on the FaceDouble site (both are located under the large "Upload Your Photo" heading to the right of the "face double" images), and allowing the application to access your profile picture. You will be asked to select your eyes. The application will compare your face to the other faces in the system, and will return your best matches within moments.
