How to Wrap Baby Wraps
Baby wraps are fabrics you wrap around your body to hold your baby close, while allowing your hands to be free. According to Nature Moms, using a wrap provides your baby with a constant sense of comfort and security as you go about your day. They can also help you burn more calories with the added weight of wearing baby around. Learn a few wrapping methods and enjoy the benefits of wearing your baby close to you.

1
Make a fold going down the center of your wrap lengthwise. Position the center of the wrap across your upper stomach, with the open side of the fold facing up. Pull the ends underneath your arms so that they hang at your backside in equal lengths on either side.
-
2
Criss-cross the ends across your back and over the opposite shoulder, back to the front, of your body. You should now have the middle of the wrap across your upper stomach, with both loose ends criss- crossing over your back and dangling down the front of your body.

3
Open the folded fabric that is across your stomach and gently slide your baby into the fold, supporting his body with one arm. Check to see that the inside fabric of the fold is pressed against your body so that it can be held up safely as your baby is pressed against you.
-
4
Take one end of fabric that is hanging down your front and pull it across your front and underneath baby, bringing it underneath the opposite arm. Repeat with the other end. The two ends hanging down should now be crossing around the front of your body and under your baby's body making a secure cradle. Take the loose ends and knot them around your backside.

Unfold your wrap and wrap it across your upper stomach as you did with the cradle wrap, bringing the loose ends under your arms to hang at your backside. Criss cross the ends in the back taking them over the opposite shoulder, back to the front, of your body.

6
Pull the fabric going across your stomach out gently and push your baby down in between you and the fabric, facing you. Position baby so that fabric wraps under their bottom and there legs hang out. Tug the two ends hanging over your shoulders forward to pull baby securely against your body.
-
7
Support baby's body with one arm and take one of the ends and cross it over your front, crossing over the baby's backside and underneath him and then under your arm. Repeat with the other end so that you have the fabric criss-crossing in front of you, making a secure seat under the baby. Tie up the remaining loose ends behind your back very tightly.
