Occasionally, you may need to remove a panel on the Kenmore Series 80 electric dryer in order to do routine maintenance or replace a damaged part. Removing a panel from the Kenmore dryer is a job that can be done in just a few minutes. The lower front panel is held onto the dryer cabinet with plastic clips and removing the lower panel will give you the ability to remove any of the other panels on the dryer. You can remove a panel on the Kenmore dryer yourself, saving you time and money.
Things You'll Need
- Putty knife
Unfasten the power cord of the Kenmore Series 80 electric dryer from the electrical outlet before attempting to remove a panel.
Locate the lower front panel on the dryer and slide a putty knife between the upper and lower front panels, prying up to dislodge the plastic clips that are holding the lower front panel to the dryer cabinet.
Pull the lower front panel off the dryer cabinet and set it out of the way of the Kenmore electric dryer.
Tips & Warnings
- Never attempt to remove the Kenmore Series 80 electric dryer panel while it is still plugged into the power supply.
