It is possible to add additional recording to your satellite DVR.

The Dish Network satellite company provides a DVR in most satellite receivers. When using the DVR, you will run out of recording space, as video content (especially high definition) takes up a large amount of hard drive space. When this occurs, you can add additional storage space to the Dish Network DVR by connecting an external eSATA drive to the receiver.
