How to Add Different Pictures to Wallpaper

By Tim Mammadov

Both Windows and Mac operating systems come with a built-in set of desktop background images, or wallpapers. However, you can add different pictures to the wallpaper set, including personal pictures and images downloaded from the Web. Once you have found the picture you want to set as your desktop wallpaper it will take you only a few seconds to set it as the background.

Windows

Right-click anywhere in the open space on your computer Desktop and then select "Personalize" in the drop-down menu.

Click on the "Desktop Background" link, then on the "Browse" button next to "Location" and go to the image file you want to add as a wallpaper.

Click on the desired file and then on "Open" in the browsing window.

Choose the desired position of the image on Desktop by clicking a corresponding radio button and then click on "OK" to apply the changes.

Mac

Click on the "Apple" icon in top left corner of your Mac desktop and select "System Preferences" from the menu.

Click on the "Desktop & Screen Saver" icon.

Click on the "Desktop" button on top of the "Desktop & Screen Saver" window.

Click on the folder where you have stored the picture files for a wallpaper in the left pane of the window and then click on the image you want to set as a background in the right pane.
