FTA receivers allow you to access free television signals from your satellite dish.

Viewsat FTA receivers work with your existing Satellite dish to acquire Free-To-Air television signals and transmit the service to your TV. Free-To-Air or FTA channels are TV channels that are broadcast over the air in an unencrypted signal. You can then watch these channels without having to pay a subscription fee. The setup process for an FTA receiver is similar in method to that of a standard satellite receiver.

Instructions

    • 1

      Locate the input panel on the rear of your Viewsat FTA receiver and on your TV.

    • 2

      Connect one end of the coaxial cable into the wall outlet associated with the satellite dish.

      Connect the other end of the coaxial cable into the "Satellite IN" port on the Viewsat receiver.

    • 4

      Insert one end of the component cables into the "Component Out" or "Video and Audio OUT" ports on the receiver. Connect the other end of the cables into the "Component IN" or "Video and Audio In" ports on your TV's input panel.

      Connect the power source to the receiver and turn it on. Turn on your TV and press the "Input" button to select the "Component" input. Your Viewsat FTA receiver is now set up.
