How to Prevent Acrobat From Creating Hyperlinks
Many programs, including Adobe Acrobat, automatically take a URL typed into a document and turn it into a hyperlink. This allows a user to click the link and open the web address. It is possible to modify the settings inside Adobe to disable the automatic conversion from happening.

Open the Adobe Acrobat Reader application.

Click "Edit" in the menu bar along the top of the screen and scroll down to "Preferences."

Choose the general category on the "Preferences" window that appears on the screen.

Locate the "Basic Tools" section of the menu box on the right-hand side. Uncheck the box that says "Create links from URLs."
