How to Post WebBlender Pages to the Web

How to Post WebBlender Pages to the Web thumbnail
Children can create Web pages with WebBlender.

WebBlender is a resource that enables teachers to create Web pages to display interactive presentations, a digital storyboard and other learning tools. The program is easy to use and can be used for student projects as well; the student can create a website or presentation that can be viewed in a Web browser like Safari, Firefox or Chrome. These Web pages can also be published to the Web using a Web host provider. When you have created your Web page, save (or "publish") the page, then upload the page to the server at your Web host provider.

Instructions

  1. Save the Web Page

    • 1

Click the "Publish" icon, then choose "To Local."

    • 2

Change the name from "Publish" to the name of your choosing in the box that appears. Click "Save."

    • 3

Double-click the index.html file WebBlender creates to view your page in a Web browser.

    Publish to the Web

    • 4

Sign up for an account with a Web host service, such as Bluehost, Justhost or iPage. Consider price, credibility, customer service and reliability when making your decision on a Web host provider.

    • 5

Choose a domain name for your website that is easy to remember and understand. Your host provider will register the domain name for you, often at no additional charge.

    • 6

Load the HTML files you have created with WebBlender as well as any media (pictures and videos, for example) you have included in the Web pages. This can usually be done with a file manager application provided by your Web host provider.
