How to Update Sun Java

Open the "Start" menu and click "Control Panel."

Double-click the "Java" icon and click the "Update" tab in the "Java Control Panel" window.

Click "Update Now." Follow the prompts to install new updates (if an update is available). Click "OK" in the "Java Control Panel" window after the update is installed.
