How to Add a Hyperlink in Visio 2003
Visio 2003 is a software application that lets you create organizational charts and drawings. The drawings created in Visio 2003 are made up of shapes. You can add a hyperlink to your Visio 2003 files by adding the link to one of the shapes. The hyperlink points to a website, so your users click the link, the Web browser automatically opens and the user is sent to the URL specified in your hyperlink settings.

Double-click the Visio file on your computer. This loads the software and opens the file at the same time. After the file loads, click the shape you want to contain the hyperlink.

Click the "Hyperlinks" button in the "Insert" ribbon in the main Visio toolbar. Type the URL in the "Address" text box in the opened window.

Enter a description for the hyperlink. This is shown to the user, so they can hover over the link and receive a general idea of where the hyperlink leads. Click "OK" to save your settings and create the hyperlink in the file.
