How to Use Bluetooth for Navigation

You can use Bluetooth for navigation to help you find specific locations.

GPS users often have the option to use Bluetooth technology with navigation devices. This comes in handy when you use various Bluetooth gadgets while you travel, such as a headset or cellular device. If you learn how to sync your Bluetooth components with your GPS device, you can use Bluetooth for navigation purposes and make your trips much easier.

Instructions

1. Go to "Bluetooth Options" on your GPS. You can usually locate this function under Settings. Click on "Find Bluetooth Devices." This enables you to place your GPS into sync mode.

2. Sync your Bluetooth and GPS. Push "Yes" when asked whether you want to sync the devices.

3. Verify that your devices work correctly. For instance, if you have a Bluetooth-enabled headset, you now have the ability to listen to navigation instructions via your headset. If your cell phone syncs properly, you can place and receive calls via Bluetooth GPS.

Tips & Warnings

• Note that you need to have a Bluetooth-enabled device in order to pair your device with a Bluetooth gadget.
