How to Read Microsoft Word Docs on a Palm Pilot
One of the big advantages of Palm products is that they can read Microsoft Office documents with their included software. With Palm's Documents To Go program installed, you can open and edit Microsoft Word, Excel or PowerPoint files on your Palm Pilot. When you finish with the files, you can sync them back to your PC using the same software.
Things You'll Need
- Windows PC
- Palm Pilot (or other Palm Product)
- Palm TX CD-ROM (included with Palm Pilot)
Instructions

Install Documents To Go on Your Computer.

Insert the Palm TX disk into your CD/DVD drive. The program should run automatically.

Click "Add software to your device," then "Documents To Go."

Click the "Install" button. This installs the Documents to Go desktop companion on your computer.
Sync Files Between Your Palm and Computer

Open the Documents To Go program on your computer.

Click the "Add" icon.

Locate a Microsoft Office file on your computer using the "Browse" function. This adds the file to the list.

Click the "HotSync" button to move the file to your Palm device.
