How to Remove AOL Icons From the Taskbar

AOL gives you access to the Web and your email.

AOL allows you to keep in touch with family and friends through email and instant messaging. It also includes free daily news, a search engine and a shopping website. You may see some of these features on your AOL taskbar, which is above your AOL interface. If you find these icons to be a distraction, or you feel that there are too many of them, you can remove them with the click of a mouse.

Instructions

1. Type your user name and password. Choose the type of Internet connection you have (i.e. Dial-up, DSL, etc.). Click "Sign On".

2. Locate the AOL task bar. Select an icon you do not want on your task bar.

3. Right-click the icon. Select "Delete". The icon should disappear from your task bar. Repeat the steps for any other icons you no longer want.

Tips & Warnings

• If you want to add the icon in the near future, click "Settings" and "Taskbar", and then select the icons you want.
