Attach a license plate to a VW Passat Wagon.

VW Passat Wagon models have a license plate bay on the rear door of the vehicle. All models come with at least two screw holes for attaching a plate. Some models may come with two additional screw holes to attach the bottom of the license plate to the vehicle. A license plate can be attached to the rear of a VW Passat without or without a license plate holder.

Instructions

    • 1

      Unscrew the license plate and/or plate holder from the front of the vehicle. The license plate and/or holder is held in place by at least two screws. Use a Philips screwdriver to unscrew the plate from the bumper.

      Slide the new license plate into the license plate holder. If not using a license plate holder, skip to step 3.

      Line the license plate or holder up to the screw holes on the rear of VW Passat Wagon door.

    • 4

      Insert a screw through the license plate or holder into each hole on the VW Passat rear door. Tighten the screws in place with the Philips screwdriver.
