Mail a check or money order to the address printed on the back of any New York traffic ticket. All tickets issued in the state have a mailing address for payments. Mail the payment on time to avoid charges for delinquent payment. Most tickets issued outside of the larger cities in New York are payable by mail or by visiting a specified DMV office in person.

Visit the New York Traffic Violations Bureau website to pay any ticket that has "Traffic Violations Bureau" printed on the citation. This web page is also used for making pleas to dispute speeding tickets.

Fill out the online form with the speeding ticket number on the upper left of the front of the ticket, and the last four digits of your Social Security number. Enter your nine-digit client ID number from a New York driver's license or your full name in the driver identification box. Include your birth date and click one of the gender selections. Enter a valid email address the department can use to contact you with verification of payment.

Select one of the accepted credit/debit cards to pay traffic ticket fines electronically. The New York TVB accepts Visa, MasterCard, American Express and Discover cards.
