Instructions

1
Cut two 18-inch lengths of 22-gauge craft wire. The wire color will not be noticeable with colored crystal beads, but will be visible if you use clear crystal beads.
-
2
Thread five 8 mm crystals to the center of one wire strand. Form a circle with the beaded section, twisting the wires twice to join them as they exit the beads. You should have a beaded circle with two even lengths of wire exiting the circle.
-
-
3
Bend one exit wire across the center of the bead circle, on top of the beads. Bend the other exit wire across the center of the bead circle, underneath the beads. Thread a 6 mm crystal bead onto the wire stretched across the top of the bead circle. Fit the 6 mm crystal into the center of the circle. This beaded circle is the center of the flower.
-
4
Fold the wire holding the center 6 mm crystal between any two circle beads to the underside of the circle. Twist the two wires together underneath the circle twice. The twist will anchor the circle beads and the center bead in place.
-
5
Insert the remaining wire from Step 1 between the twisted wires and the beaded circle. Center the new wire beneath the circle. Position the wires so that one section extends in a different direction away from the circle: north, south, east and west.
-
6
Twist the north- and south-facing wires once in the center for added security. Repeat with the east- and west-facing wires. Reposition the wires to face the north, south, east and west. The wires should be straight.
-
7
Thread 8 mm crystal beads onto one of the extended wires up to 1/2 inch of the end of the wire. Curve the beaded wire into a petal shape. Insert the open 1/2-inch end beneath the twisted wires underneath the flower's center. Twist the wire end onto the other twisted wires to anchor the petal into position.
-
8
Repeat Step 7 with the remaining three extended wires to make three additional petals for the flower.
