How to Decorate a Cowgirl Bedroom

Paint the walls in a tan, dusty color or a deep indigo to mimic the color of denim. Paint the bottom of the walls to look like leather or cover them with faux cowhide. Dress up plain walls by adding a border with a paisley design -- like a bandanna -- in pink or red. Glue a rope around the room as a border or in place of a chair rail. Paint an entire mural on one wall if you think she'll stay with the cowgirl theme for a few years.

Place furniture in the room that will last longer than the cowgirl theme, but still works with it. A rustic-looking headboard and natural-looking wood chests and nightstands can be sanded and stained later.
