Quicken 2005 can be made to work in a different currency quickly and easily.

Intuit's Quicken is a personal finance software application that tracks your spending and helps you maintain a balanced budget. Quicken connects directly to your banking institutions to automatically update its files and to create spending reports. These files are kept in a central location known as the "Register." From here, you can view and print reports, graphs and other data. The program also comes with the ability to work in various currencies and switching to a different currency is a straightforward process.

      In Quicken, click on the "Edit" menu and then on "Options."

      Click on the "Quicken Program" option.

      Click on the "Settings" tab and then click on the "Multicurrency Support" check box. Click on "Ok" to close the dialog box and save your settings. You will now be able to work in multiple currencies simultaneously.

Tips & Warnings

  • It may take a few minutes for Quicken to configure you settings. After this process is complete, the program will have no trouble working with multiple currencies.

  • Support for multiple currencies is not enabled by default; you must enable it using Steps 1 to 3 or the program will not be able to process foreign currency data.
