1. Begin with a brief sentence that describes the artist. Include the specific genre he or she performs in, notable accomplishments, where the artist is from and how long he or she has been performing.

2. Mention current activities next. Is the artist currently touring or recording? Note any upcoming releases, important milestones and special events.

3. Discuss supporting band members, foundational history and special recognitions and awards last. You can include positive quotes about the artist from notable industry members in this section.

• Keep your artist's bio brief and succinct. Music Biz Academy recommends bios be less than one page in length for most musicians and under a page and a half for established artists.
