How to Make Alphabet Photo Image Letters Using Dreamweaver CS4
Adobe Dreamweaver is a widely used Web page creation and editing application. It has a number of powerful features that allow users to create truly professional level pages. One of the most useful aspects of the program is the way it works with the other Adobe applications like Photoshop and Fireworks. One example of this is seen when you are trying to apply an image to text. There is no way to directly do this in Dreamweaver, but by combining Dreamweaver with its companion program Photoshop, you can quickly create this effect.

1
Load the photo that you want to work with onto your computer. The best way to do this is to transfer the photo from a digital source like a camera or SD card, but you can scan in print copies if that is all you have.
-
2
Open Dreamweaver. Select "File" from the menu and choose "Recent Files." From the listed files, choose one to which you want to add your modified text. It will open in the view.
-
-
3
Place your cursor where you want the modified text. Select "Insert" from the menu and choose "Image." In the dialog that appears, locate the image you loaded in step 1 and open it. It will be inserted at the point you selected.
-
4
Right-click on the inserted image and choose "Optimize." In the dialog that appears, change the file type to "PNG 24." Click "OK."
-
5
Right-click on the image and choose "Edit With." From the options, choose "Photoshop." The image will open in Photoshop.
-
6
Right-click on the "background" layer in the Photoshop "Layers" palette. From the options, choose "Layer from Background."
-
7
Select the "Type" tool from the toolbar. In the options at the top, choose the font size and style you want. Then type your text over the image.
-
8
Select the "Magic Wand" tool. In the options, turn off "Contiguous." Then click on the letters and drag the text layer to the "Trash" at the bottom of the "Layers Palette."
-
9
Select "Select" from the menu and choose "Inverse." Click "Delete" on your keyboard. Select "File" from the menu and click "Save." Close Photoshop.
-
10
Go back to Dreamweaver. You will see that the image has been automatically updated and now appears as text that has been cut from the image.
