How to Add Free Airtime to My Prepaid Account

SafeLink Wireless has partnered with TracFone under a special U.S. government program aimed to service low-income households. Having a SafeLink Wireless account provides users with a free cell phone as well as free monthly minutes. Special promotional offers provided through TracFone allows users to get extra airtime minutes--ranging from 50 to 300 minutes--without cost. These special and limited time codes are generally sent out through emails, calls, texts or by mail delivery to registered users periodically.

Instructions

1. Visit the TracFone website (see Resources) to register your TracFone to receive free airtime code notifications. Type in your contact information, including your name, current address and date of birth on the web application. Create an account by entering a valid email address and password.

2. To add your TracFone device to the promotional code system, enter the device's serial number, or IMEI. The serial number can be found in your TracFone's Prepaid Menu as it shows up as 11-, 15- or 18-digit numbers.

3. Complete the web registration by entering your TracFone's area code and number. Review all personal information on the web form before submitting.

4. Enter the promotional code on your TracFone upon delivery. Open up the Menu selection on your phone's home page. Select the "Prepaid" option. Insert the promo code by clicking on "Add Airtime." Select "OK" when finished.

5. View added airtime minutes by selecting "Airtime Info" under the Prepaid menu. If the airtime minutes have failed to load, contact a TracFone service representative to have the code entered manually.
