How to Make Your Own Label for a Cereal
Cereal boxes typically contain brightly colored labels that are designed to draw your attention so that you will purchase the cereal. If you are organizing your pantry, however, these colorful cereal boxes can make the pantry look cluttered and chaotic. One solution is to make your own labels to cover the cereal boxes that will blend in beautifully and will be easy to read when you want to select the cereal from your pantry.
Things You'll Need
- Craft paper, white or cream
- Scissors
- Craft paper, colored
- Pinking shears

Instructions

1
Measure and cut out a rectangle of white or cream craft paper about 9 inches high by 24 inches long using scissors.
-
2
Measure and cut out a rectangle of colored craft paper about 7 inches high by 24 inches long using pinking shears. The pinking shears will make the edges scalloped.
-
-
3
Glue the colored craft paper rectangle on top of the white or cream colored rectangle. This will make a scalloped, colored strip inside the white or cream paper.
-
4
Wrap and glue the entire length of the rectangle around the cereal box.
-
5
Glue the ends of the rectangle together to secure it.
-
6
Write the name or type of cereal on the label using a marker, and place the labeled cereal into your pantry.
