How to Recover a Sandisk Micro Flash

SanDisk micro flash drives fit into a pocket and hold a few Gigabytes of data. Since they use a USB port to transfer information, they can be used in any of today's computers. When one of these drives receives an error and no longer functions properly, you can restore it to the factory settings by formatting it. This will remove the errors, allowing you to use the flash drive again.

Instructions

1. Insert the SanDisk micro flash drive into a computer through the USB port.

2. Click the round button at the bottom of the screen. Click "Control Panel."

3. Click the "System and Security" image. Click "Administrative Tools," then double-click "Computer Management."

4. Select "Disk Management" in the left panel. The SanDisk micro flash drive will appear in the right panel. Right-click it. Select "Format."

5. Click "OK" to format the card to its factory settings.

Tips & Warnings

• All of the space on the SanDisk micro flash drive will be freed up.

• You will lose all information stored on the drive, so try to remove as much as you can before performing this operation.
