How to Sync Outlook Email on Verizon With No Data Plan

Smart phones have Internet access.

Microsoft Outlook is an email client available on most personal computers. If you have a smart phone through Verizon, you can sync the phone with the Outlook account to access the email on the phone. However, doing the sync over the air requires a data package. You can sync the phone with Outlook for free by performing a hard sync on the computer.

Things You'll Need

• Data cable
• Computer with desktop management software

Instructions

1. Insert the data cable into the port on the smart phone, then insert the USB end of the cable into the USB port of the computer.

2. Double-click the icon to the desktop management software to open the program.

3. Click "Sync Email From Outlook." Enter your Outlook email address and password, then click "Next." Wait for the sync to complete. The more emails you have in the inbox, the longer the sync will take. Wait for the confirmation message that the sync is complete.

4. Close the desktop manager and disconnect the phone from the computer.
