More than one monitor makes it easier to use several programs at once.

Having two monitors attached to the HP Pavilion Elite M9250F desktop computer means that you can have a lot more desktop space to view and organize your activities. It is just like having one large screen and you will be able to move the mouse pointer between the two displays. Microsoft has made it easy to set up dual monitors and it shouldn't take more than minutes.

Instructions

    • 1

Make sure that both of the monitors are attached to the Pavilion Elite M9250F. This will involve using one blue VGA cable for the blue slot of the back of the computer and another white DVI cable plugged into the wider, white slot.

Click the "Start" button, then click the "Control Panel" icon.

    • 3

Click "Appearance and Personalization" to open the Display Settings.

    • 4

Click "Adjust Screen Resolution" to enter the Screen Display options.

    • 5

Expand the drop-down list next to "Multiple displays" by clicking on the small triangle. Click "Extend these displays."

    • 6

Select "OK" when a confirmation box appears.

    • 7

Move the images of the two monitors so that they show the position of the monitors in real life. Click and drag to move an image.

    • 8

Click "OK" to finish setting up.

    • 9

Exit the Control Panel. You will now be able to use both of the screens.
