How to Stop Photoshop Opening My Downloads
When you download a file from the Internet, the file saves to the "Downloads" folder on your computer. When you double-click the file that you downloaded, the file may automatically open in Photoshop if Photoshop is set up as the default program for that type of file. You can stop Photoshop from opening your downloads by changing the default program that is assigned to that file type.

Scroll to the file extension for the file type that Photoshop opens by default. Click on the extension to select it and press the "Change program" button. Select a program other than Photoshop from the list of programs and click "OK."
