Look at the pills themselves. Phentermine HCL pills can come in capsules or tablets.

Identify the colors of the pills. Phentermine HCL 15 mg only comes in capsule form, and is yellow and gray, orange and gray, all yellow or all orange. Phentermine HCL 37.5 mg comes in tablets and capsules. The capsules are blue and clear with white and blue pellets inside. Phentermine HCL 37.5 tablets are small, oval shaped white pills with blue specks, or they can be all white.
