How to Treat the Leather Seats in a Vehicle
With correct care, you can keep the leather interior of a car beautiful for many years. Even the oil from your skin can harm your car's interior leather if it's not regularly cleaned from the leather. Luckily there are many products on the market that you can safely use to clean and condition your car's leather seats. Clean spills immediately; otherwise, regular cleaning and treatment will keep your vehicle's leather seats looking supple.

- Soft-bristle brush (optional)
- Clean, soft cloth
- Leather cleaner
- Leather conditioner

Check your leather for dirt and grime in the seams, crevices and cracks. If cracks and crevices are harboring dirt and grime, it may be necessary to gently clean them with a soft-bristle brush.

Clean the leather seats using a leather cleaning product such as those in Meguiar's line of leather care products specifically formulated for use on car interiors. Rub the cleanser on with a clean, soft cloth.

Let the leather dry.

Apply leather conditioner meant for leather car interiors. Apply the conditioner with a new, soft, clean cloth in a circular motion.

Allow the leather to dry again.

Prevent damage by keeping sharp objects way from leather seats. Park in shade when possible, and limit food and beverage consumption to reduce cleanup.
