How to Make Seaglass Jewerly
Create a simple piece of jewelry out of a piece of seaglass found on a favorite vacation, or buy a handful of pieces from a craft store or online. When a piece of glass is buffeted by the ocean's waves all rough edges and hard corners are filed away. The salt water and bright sunlight have to work together to give the glass that etched look that gives seaglass its luminance.

1
Decide the length of your necklace and add one inch. Use your wire cutters to trim off a piece of 20-gauge wire to the desired length. Use your pliers to create a closed loop on one end of the wire. Carefully twist the end of the wire so that it wraps around the loop, leaving no jagged piece to poke your neck while you're wearing your new necklace.

2
Use 30-gauge wire to wrap a small closed loop around the bottom of the piece of seaglass. Twist it tightly in place and cut off the excess. Use a second piece of 30-gauge wire to wrap around the top of the seaglass. Twist it tightly in place and cut off the excess. Slide a third piece of 30-gauge wire between the bottom loop and seaglass and pull it up under the top loop. Holding the bottom of the wire to keep it in place, pull the top of the wire diagonally across the seaglass. Slide it under the bottom and top loop, and cross the seaglass diagonally again, so that the wire forms an X-shape. Twist around the top loop to hold it in place and cut off excess. Repeat in the back.

Slide a piece of 30-gauge wire under the top loop of the seaglass and use it to create a small loop. Twist the ends tightly together. Slide the loop through the 20-gauge wire and so the piece hangs as a pendant. Use pliers to create a hook on the opposite end.

4
Use pliers to create a hook on the opposite end of the 20-gauge. Hang the necklace around your neck and attach it by slipping the hook through the loop on the opposite end of the wire.

5
Create a bracelet using the same technique. To vary the design, create several seaglass pendants to dangle from the bracelet.
