How to Merge Tracks in Nero 8 thumbnail
The Wave Editor software included in the Nero 8 Suite is more than capable of handling basic audio editing tasks.

While professional sound editing software is more than capable of performing all audio editing tasks, other more consumer oriented and less expensive programs are also capable of dealing with a large number of audio editing tasks. Nero 8 is not only a file burning program, but also a whole suite of different multimedia applications. Using the Wave Editor program included in the Nero 8 suite, users can perform a whole host of different tasks including merging tracks.

Instructions

    • 1

Launch the Nero Wave Editor. The program is part of the Nero 8 suite listed in the programs area of the Start menu.

    • 2

Choose the tracks to be merged by clicking "Open" from the file menu. While pressing the "ctrl" key, select all of the tracks that will be combined. Multiple audio tracks should now be displayed in the main window.

    • 3

Click to select an individual track and then press the "Select entire audio file" button from the toolbar.

    • 4

Drag and drop the selected track on top of the other audio track in the window.

    • 5

Repeat the process until all of the audio tracks are merged.

    • 6

Click file and then select "Save As" to choose an audio format in which to save the merged track.
