How to Send Email With a Hidden Return Forward

The "Reply To" address in an email message is set as the sender's email address by default. You can set an alternate "Reply To" address, however, when you set up your Windows Live email. Windows Live is an email application freely installed with the operating system. This email application has the option to change the address to which the response is forwarded when the user clicks the "Reply" button. This option is hidden to the user. This is beneficial if you want the user to reply and forward email to a private address.

      Click the Windows "Start" button, and click "All Programs." Click "Windows Live Mail" from the list of shortcuts. This opens your email application.

      Click the "Compose Mail" button to open a new window. Click the "Options" button on the top-right corner. Select "More options" from the list of pop-up menu items.

      Click "Reply-to address." In the "Other Address" text box, enter your alternate email address where you want to forward the email.

      Click "Save" to save your settings. You can now type your email and send it to the recipient. The reply is sent to the alternate email address.
