Change to Passive Mode in FTP

A file transfer protocol program, or FTP, allows you to upload and download files from a web server. The FTP program has a number of configuration settings so you can tailor your file transfers to the specific servers that you are using. The passive mode of transferring uses the FTP client to request the IP and port information directly from the web server. The client uses this information to know where to transfer the files.
