How to Give a New Range on a Current Pivot Table
Changing the range of a pivot table is done by editing the data source. Once the data source is updated, your pivot table will reflect the changes with the Pivot Table Field List options. You may update the range if more data has been added to a spreadsheet or if you want to see different data displayed in the pivot table. Once the range is redefined, the change is instantly updated in the pivot table display.

Open Excel 2007 and select a workbook that contains a pivot table. Click the "Office" button and click "Open." Browse your files and locate the workbook. Click the workbook and the "Open" button. The workbook opens.

Select the worksheet that displays the pivot table. Click the pivot table. Notice the "Pivot Table Tools" tab appears on the ribbon. Click this tab. Click the "Options" sub tab. Select "Change Source Data." When the drop down list appears, select "Change Source Data."

Highlight your new range. Click "OK." The new range is now applied to the pivot table.
