How to Get Mewtwo in "Pokemon Diamond"
Mewtwo is a Pokemon made using the DNA genetic coding of the legendary Pokemon Mew. This Pokemon is accessible in three ways on both Pokemon Diamond and Pearl versions. You could either trade using the Global Trading Station, receive through a trade with a friend or by transferring it from a Pokemon Gameboy Advance game such as Pokemon Fire Red or Leaf Green.

Obtaining Mewtwo through Global Transfer Station

Travel to the GTS building in Hearthome City. Walk into the building and approach the lady at the counter. Press the "A" button to converse with the lady.

Answer "Yes" to each of the female attendant's questions. Your character will automatically walk into the GTS room. Select "Deposit Pokemon" from the Global Trade System screen and select a Pokemon from your party list that you want to trade for the Mewtwo pokemon.

Select "Mewtwo" under the Pokemon selection bar. Select the level range and other characteristics of the Mewtwo pokemon. Mewtwo will be available in your party.
Transfering Mewtwo from GBA game

Insert your Pokemon GBA game with Mewtwo and your Pokemon Diamond game into your Nintendo DS device. Turn the Nintendo DS on and start your Pokemon Diamond game.

Choose "Migrate" from the Main Menu. Answer "Yes" to all of the questions that pop-up. Choose your Mewtwo Pokemon along with 5 other pokemon from your in-game PC.

Navigate your character to Pal Park in the Pokemon Diamond DS game. Talk to the male attendant at the counter and answer "Yes" to all of his questions. Your character will automatically walk into the Capture field.

Catch all of your Pokemon in the Capture field by using the park balls.
Obtaining Mewtwo Through a Friend

Navigate your Pokemon Pearl character to a nearby Pokemon center. Go to the Union room counter located upstairs.

Converse with the counter attendant by pressing the "A" button. Answer "Yes" to each question. Your character will automatically enter the Union room.

Navigate your friend's character to the same Pokemon center. Go to the Union counter upstairs and converse with the counter attendant answering each question with a "Yes." The character will automatically walk into the Union room.

Press the "A" button to communicate with your friend's character and select "Trade" from the pop-up menu.

Select a Pokemon to trade with your friend and have your friend select "Mewtwo" as the trade item to trade with you. The trade will occur and you will have the Mewtwo Pokemon available in your party.
