How to Continue a Paused Installation of Adobe CS4

With a few simple steps, you can continue a paused installation problem with Photoshop CS4.

You may encounter installation problems with Photoshop CS4 for many reasons. Some problems include conflicts among other software or corrupt components in certain computer files. If your computer doesn't meet all of the requirements for the software that you are trying to download, you will have problems downloading Adobe Photoshop CS4. However, by following a few simple steps, you can fix these errors, and you will be able to create and launch your projects with Adobe Photoshop CS4 successfully.

Instructions

1. Check your computer system to make sure that it meets all the minimum requirements for Adobe Photoshop CS4. To view the minimum requirements for your Mac or Windows computer, look on the Adobe CS4 Photoshop software package or view it online (see Resources).

2. Install Microsoft Windows service packs. To update service packs, go to the Microsoft Windows update website (see Resources).

3. Use the Adobe Support Advisor on the Adobe website. This application will help identify the problems and then resolve the problems that you are having with installation (see Resources).

4. Turn off your virus protection. Sometimes your virus protection software may cause pauses and installation problems with the intent to protect your computer from possible viruses.
