How do I Buy a Domain Name Through Comcast?
A domain name is how you identify your web address (IP address). This name usually reflects your business or personal name, and is a way for customers or other individuals to find your business or personal web page. When you activate a Comcast Business Class Portal account with a Website Hosting Package, Comcast will register a domain name for you, free of charge.

1
Call Comcast and ask to speak to a representative about opening a Business Class Portal account with Web Hosting. You can call Comcast between 8 a.m. and 7 p.m. at 800-391-3000.
-
2
Visit the Comcast Web Hosting website to review a complete list of hosting packages and options (see Resources). Select one of the four, which range in price and service. They are Professional, E-Commerce, Business and Starter. Each comes with domain name registration, though they differ in storage, data transfer and FTP access, among other options.

Tell the Comcast representative the unique domain name you would like to use. You may want to do some research before calling Comcast, to see if the domain name you would like to use is available. Open your Internet browser and type in your desired domain name. If the browser goes to a page that reads "Server Not Found" or "Page Does Not Exist," then the domain name is most likely not already registered and Comcast should be able to register the domain name for you. As soon as the Comcast representative activates your Business Class Portal account, your domain name should be ready for use almost immediately.
