How to Solve Puzzle 94 on DS Game Professor Layton & the Curious Village

"Professor Layton and the Curious Village" is an adventure puzzle game released on the Nintendo DS in 2008. Puzzle 94 in the game is a shape-sliding puzzle in which you have to move different-colored shapes around with the goal of getting a red ball from its starting position at the top left to the goal area in the bottom-right corner. You can achieve this objective in as few as 21 moves.

Instructions

    • 1

      Move the purple square in the bottom-left corner down one space.

    • 2

      Shift the purple square that was next to it one space to the left.

    • 3

      Move the blue rectangle on the bottom layer one space to the left.

    • 4

      Drag the green rectangle on the right-hand side down two spaces to cover the goal area.

    • 5

      Shift the purple square in the top-right corner down two spaces.

    • 6

      Drag the purple square that was to the left of the previous square moved one space to the right and then one down.

    • 7

      Move the blue rectangle at the top two spaces to the right.

    • 8

      Move the red ball down one space and to the right so that it sits behind the blue rectangle.

    • 9

      Shift the green rectangle on the left side up two spaces, into the slot where the red ball originally was.

      Drag the central orange square one space to the left.

    • 11

      Shift the uppermost purple square on the right side of the screen one space to the left and then down.

    • 12

      Move the blue rectangle at the top of the screen down one space so that it lies across the two purple squares.

    • 13

      Drag the red ball two spaces to the right and up into the niche at the top-right corner.

    • 14

      Shift the blue rectangle up one space and to the left so that its left-hand side is in contact with the green rectangle.

      Move the red ball two spaces down and one space to the left.

      Move the purple square on the far right up three spaces.

    • 17

      Drag the red ball one space to the right and down into the space where the purple square was.

    • 18

      Shift the purple square to the immediate left of the red ball up one space.

    • 19

      Drag the red ball one space to the left.

    • 20

      Move the green rectangle up three spaces.

    • 21

      Drag the red ball one space to the right and down into the goal area.
