How to Remove Netflix Pop-ups From Firefox

Certain websites may load unwanted Netflix pop-up advertisements while viewing them in the Firefox Web browser. These pop-ups can be blocked from appearing in Firefox by activating the browser's pop-up blocker. The Firefox pop-up blocker can be turned on from within the browser window and requires no additional files to be downloaded or installed. After activating the pop-up blocker, Firefox will not display any pop-ups, including Netflix advertisements, unless you manually allow the site to display pop-ups.

Instructions

    • 1

Open the Firefox browser from your desktop or "Start" menu. Click the "Tools" button that appears in the menu bar located toward the top of the Firefox window.

    • 2

Click the "Options..." button in the drop-down menu that appears. Click the icon labeled "Content" near the top of the window that opens.

    • 3

Click in the blank white square next to the "Block pop-up windows" text to place a check mark in it. Click the "OK" button at the bottom of the window. Firefox will now prevent Netflix pop-ups from appearing while you are browsing the Web.

Tips & Warnings

  • Firefox will show a notification every time a pop-up is blocked. Click the "Options" button next to the notification to display pop-ups from a site you are visiting.
