If you have lost your job in Illinois, you can file for unemployment insurance to get benefits while you look for a new job. In Illinois, the Department of Employment Security processes all unemployment claims. When you are ready to file for unemployment, you will need the contact information for all of the jobs you have had in the last 18 months.
