How to Schedule a USPS Express Mail Shipment
United States Postal Service (USPS) Express Mail is the fastest way to send packages through the postal system. Domestically, Express Mail is a guaranteed service with a delivery time quoted at point of sale. This service is also available online; you can complete the entire shipping process through the USPS Click-N-Ship program. This program provides discounted Express Mail shipping labels, and also offers detailed information on scheduling a USPS Express Mail shipment.

1
Visit the USPS website and click on the "Print a Shipping Label" button to load the Click-N-Ship page.
-
2
Select the United States as your shipping destination on the first Click-N-Ship page. Verify your name and address on the left side of the label information screen. Input the name and address of your shipment recipient on the right.
-
-
3
Enter your package weight and size information in the section provided at the bottom of the page. The weight of your item determines the amount of postage you will pay (unless you use a flat-rate envelope), while the size information verifies that the USPS can accept your package for shipment.
-
4
Select your shipment date using the calendar provided. Declare the value of your package if you need insurance, and then click "Continue." Choose the Express Mail option on the next page.
-
5
Click on "Express Mail Drop-Off Locations" to verify your scheduled drop-off point, which will typically be a USPS retail counter. You must bring the package to this location by the specified cut-off time.
-
6
Click "Continue" and enter your payment information. This payment covers the cost of the Express Mail postage and any extra services offered.
-
7
Print your shipping label and affix it to the package. Take the package to your USPS drop-off location by the quoted cut-off time.
