How to File Unemployment Online for Missouri
The Missouri website for filing an unemployment insurance claim enables Missouri residents to file a new claim, a renewed claim or a weekly claim. There is no fee for using this service, which is available 24 hours a day except from 11:30 p.m. Central Time on Saturday to 12:31 a.m. Sunday. Claims start the Sunday of the week that you file. If approved, your claim for unemployment insurance could provide you with up to 26 weeks of benefits.

Gather the following information: Social Security number; a personal identification number (PIN) to use for security; mailing address including zip code; telephone number; the county name that you live in; name, address and zip code of the company you last worked for; gross dollar amount and number of any vacation or holiday days that you received payment for; and if not a U.S. citizen, your alien registration number. You will also need information about your savings or checking account numbers if you want your benefits to be directly deposited into your account.

Go to the Missouri Unemployed Workers Homepage at www.moclaim.mo.gov. Under "Getting Benefits" on the upper-left side of the screen click on "File a Claim."

Input all of the requested information, answering all questions on the application completely and truthfully.

Chose a method for receiving your benefit: check, debit card, or direct deposit to a savings or checking account.

Click the "Submit" button when you have finished entering your information. Wait for the confirmation page with your confirmation number.

File a weekly claim, if you continue to be unemployed, within two weeks of the Saturday of your claim week. You will need your Social Security number and your PIN.
