The Bestec ATX 300 is a 300 watt power supply used in ATX form factor computers. A 300 watt power supply is sufficient for powering a computer without a large demand for power, such as computers that have onboard video cards. Instructions

    • 1

Turn off your computer and remove the power cable, interface cables and peripheral cables from the back.

    • 2

Slide the computer case cover off. You can accomplish this in several different ways, depending on what kind of case you have. Many cases may have the side panel secured to the back with thumbscrews or regular screws. Remove the screws to slide the panel off. Other cases may have release buttons or a side window that opens the rest of the case.

    • 3

Unscrew the four screws attaching the power supply to the back of the case. Slowly remove the power supply from the case, keeping the cables attached to the various computer components. Disconnect only the cables that might stop you from removing the power supply from the case.

    • 4

Slide the new power supply into the brackets and screw it into the back of your case. Use the original power supply as a guide, replacing the old power supply plugs with the new power supply connectors. This way you can ensure you don't miss any computer component which needs power. Close the case and connect your power, peripheral and interface cables.
