How to Enable Installation of Windows 7 on a Sony Laptop With Ubuntu 9.0 On It

A Sony laptop, like all other computers, is set up to allow a user to install a number different operating systems. No matter what operating system you are currently running, you can always install a new one and completely erase the previous one from your hard drive. If you are using Ubuntu Linux, you can enable your Sony laptop to run a Windows 7 installation.

Scroll to "Boot Device Priority" in the BIOS menu. Locate "CD-ROM" and change it to "Primary Device." Press "Esc" and press "y" to save the changes and restart. This boots your Sony laptop using the Windows 7 installation DVD, allowing you to install it from there.
