How to Replace a Headlight on a 2007 Hyundai Accent
The Hyundai Accent is a Korean-made compact car. The 2007 model is considered the third-generation model and showcases a larger interior. Changing the headlights is a part of the normal maintenance that needs to be done on any car, including the Hyundai Accent. Check your headlights at least twice a year to ensure that they are functioning properly. A nonworking headlight is hazardous to you and other motorists. Replacing the Accent's headlight is a fairly simple job that requires only a screwdriver.

1
Find the wire harness that is connected to the headlight bulb. Gain access to the bulb by opening the hood and looking behind the headlight assembly. Press in the tab that locks the wire and unplug the harness.
-
2
Peel off the protective black rubber casing or covering that is around the bulb.
-
-
3
Unfasten the clip that secures the bulb. Press in on the end of the clip and then pull up to release it from the headlight. Pull the headlightout of the socket.
-
4
Push the new bulb into the socket. The bulb has a small flange on it that should be in the up position. Make sure that you wear gloves or use a rag when touching the new bulb. Oil from your hands can cause the bulb to heat unevenly and crack or break.

5
Push the locking clip back into place. You will hear a small click as the lock engages.
-
6
Cover the new bulb with the protective rubber casing. Reattach the harness to the back of the new bulb. Test the bulb by starting the engine.
